Race Rules and Regulations

1.         The race has two distances: 175.5km and 78.8km. Both groups will start at the same time at Nie Er Culture Square in Yuxi

2.         175.5km finishes at Nie Er Culture Square. 78.8km finishes outside Yue Chun Holiday Hotel

3.         Participants must be in healthy physical condition ( Persons with high blood pressure, heart disease, Meniere's Syndrome or other illnesses which makes them unfit for long distance cycling are not allowed to take part)

4.         Participants under 18 or over 60 years of age must present a written parental   consent or written consent from relatives or legal guardian

5.         Starting in the race, you are acknowledging that you are taking part of your own free will, are responsible for your own safety and paying your own costs

6.         Professional bikers currently active and on file are not allowed to register.

7.         Participants provide for their own bicycle, equipment and protective wear. The bicycle must not be fitted with any equipment designed to move the vehicle forward with other than human force

8.         Participants are free to use a road bike or mountain bike. Wearing helmet is a must

9.         Participants must come to the designated race office to sign in and pick up number bibs and plates.

10.     No bikers are allowed to get on the track without official registration work and registration fee payment. Participants without official registration shall not be covered by insurance, race organization services and are fully responsible for themselves.

11.     Participants must wear number bibs and place bike plates correctly; No one is allowed to do any changes to the official number bibs and bike plates. If this is done it will incur disqualification. The 2 body number bibs must be placed on the sides of your lower back

12.     The OC will buy competition insurance for all official race participants; participants who fails to provide correct personal information in time, leading to the OC not being able to buy insurance for that individual are fully responsible themselves for any accident occurring during the race

13.     If an insured participant has an accident, please contact the insurance company directly and follow their procedures. The OC will not pay anything up front

14.     All bikers must follow the correct track; the competition organizers will not take any responsibility if bikers have accidents outside the official track.

15.     Official timing will be provided to all participants who has completed the whole distance within the designated end time.

16.     The OC will arrange drinking stations which will be evenly located along the track with clear signs. Drinking stations have: Water, sport drink, snacks

17.     The local government arranges track leading car, bus pick-up and bike pick-up after last person for those who can not finish the race, medical van and media car. Cars on the track all have official signs from the OC.  

18.     The OC provides basic bike service at the race like tire change(tire cost will be charged), tire fixing, air pump, bike adjustment etc.

19.     Traffic Police will set up traffic control along the track; friends and family of the bikers are not allowed to follow with their own car.

20.     The OC will set up track signs, kilometer signs, start and finish signs and sign for danger, please be attentive. 

21.     There will be volunteers holding red flags at the dangerous parts of the track, when you see them, please slow down and pay attention to the track situation.

22.     The Referee Committee (RC) has the right to expel from the race any participant who breaks the race rules or general rules of good sportsmanship

23.     For safety reasons, when force majeure occurs, the RC has the right to shorten the race distance or cancel the race completely

24.     All competition related explanation rights belongs to the RC

25.     If new rules and regulations gets added, they will be released as soon as possible
