seems that today was the day of the 80s generation skiers in the men’s sprint
in Xiwuqi. With Swedish Adam Johansson taking the 1st place,
followed by Gustav Hall (SWE), Remi Damevin (FRA) and Johan Edin (SWE), all

The first stage of the 3rd Tour de Ski China was held today in sunny weather and about
15 minus degrees at Xiwuqi, Inner Mongolia.
One Norwegian - Kjetil Hagvedt Dammen - managed to beat three Swedish skiers to
the first podium place in the men’s mass start which was set to 5.7km. Last

On Saturday December 26th, skiers set out from Europe for competitions in Tour de Ski China. They will be on a 9 days trip with 3 days of varied cross country races where they will not only compete with each other, but also with the ever improving skiers in Chinas National Ski Team.

Xiwuqi City in Inner Mongolia has hosted the first stages of Tour de Ski China ever since the start in 2008, apparently a good turnout for them since a new 5-year contract was signed by Xiwuqi Government and Nordic Ways on October 17th in the town hall. The contract runs 2010-2014 and lays a firm ground for the continuing development of the tour.

Around New Year of 2009, the 2nd Tour de Ski China was successfully held in 3 cities around China. The skiers endured a temperature of minus 18 degrees centigrade on the first day of competition in Xiwuqi, a 50 km long Chinese Vasaloppet in Changchun and a sprint final at 3200 m above sea level at the newly constructed Ski resort in Shangri-la.
