Vasaloppet Sweden
Vasaloppet is the biggest participatory ski event in the world which attracts over 45000 participants every year. First held in 1922 to commemorate the Swedish King, Gustav Vasa, in his revolt against the Danish, 136 skiers and around 100 spectators appeared at the start. The Swedish Vasaloppet has now grown into being a big international competition with top skiers and amateurs of all ranges.
Vasaloppet China
Nordic Ways brought the tradition of Vasaloppet to
Vasaloppet China is a 50 km cross country ski race, open for everyone. The Blueberry Vasa for those who want to take it a bit easier is 16.7 km. For the beginner, there is Vasa Fun Ski of 2 or 4 km. Try cross country skiing in a relaxed and fun way. There is no problem if you don’t have your own skis; equipment rental is included when you sign up for the Fun Ski! 
Childrens Vasa
Your kids can also go skiing in the Children’s Vasa and have a great time in the snow. The race is only about 200 m and parents can follow their kids around the track for an extra push. All kids get number bibs with the number 1 on to manifest that “every kid is number one”. Equipment and participation is free, and every kid gets a small prize!

Entertainment
Every Year, the Changchun Government throws a big New Years Banquet on the 31st of December. Afterwards there will be New Year celebration at Vasaloppet Bar. There will also be a Vasa Banquet on the evening of Jan 2nd with following party at Vasaloppet Bar.

Changchun
The city of Changchun has in recent years become the heart and center of the development of X-Country skiing in China, by hosting the Vasaloppet China Week, an ever-growing event jointly organized by Nordic Ways, CSA and the City of Changchun. The sixth edition held in January of 2007 attracted over 16.000 participants.
Situated in the heart of China’s Northeast, Changchun is the capital city of Jilin Province and the province’s political, economic, scientific and cultural center. It has also in the past years become the center for winter sports, hosting several large events, including World Cup competitions in ice skating, aerial and Cross Country skiing. In 2007, Changchun was the organizer of the Asian Winter Games and the second FIS Sprint World Cup ever to be held in China
