Nordic Ways will celebrate its 10 year anniversary with the busiest calendar in its young history!
We have already organized a number of events in 2008 and we will continue throughout the year and into 2009. Coming next is Vatternrundan China which will take you on a scenic race through Changbai Mountain.
On the 11th of October, we will host Birkebeinerittet China in Changchun. This is the sister event to the world's biggest MTB competition - the Norwegian Birkebeinerittet. We expect a lot of "Birkebeiners" from the Norwegian race to come to China for an equally exciting experience.
Later on in October, it is time for a new event brand for Nordic Ways, Taicang Jincang Lake International Bike Festival, which is a road bike race in Taicang City, west of Shanghai.This event, which will attract a lot of foreign and Chinese bikers, will be one of the biggest and most talked about bike races this season.
In the beginning of the Olympic year 2008 we had the first ever Tour de Ski China and the sixth Vasaloppet China.Tour de Ski China is back around New Year 09.
This prestigious professional cross country ski stage race will see some of the world's best athletes compete in the best ski arenas around China. The tour will be held in 6 different cities from December 27 2008 to January 9th, 2009.
Vasaloppet China will also continue its rapid growth from earlier years and will be organized for the 7th time on January 2nd, 2009.
Nordic Ways also contributes to the development of the running sport in China. Three running events will be organized and the first one in 2009 will be Nanjing Running Festival. We will continue in June with Lidingoloppet China, the sister event to the world's biggest cross country running event-Lidingoloppet in Sweden.
Of course, don't miss out on classic Huangshan MTB Festival in early May, China's top Mountain Bike Competition!
More cycling events for the Spring/Summer 09 is the new Shanghai Bike festival which will be held the third week in April. The Spring Summit of the well-known Great Wall Bike Festival in May is also something to have in mind.
In July, you will have the chance to cross the vast Inner Mongolian grasslands by bike or on foot! Take part in the Genghis Khan MTB Adventure or run the Grassland Marathon!
