In Nordic Europe children start skiing at an early age. It is not uncommon to see kids who just learnt how to walk skiing around as they had done so for years. Skiing is not only competing, it is about having fun together, and this is something important to communicate.
When the participants in the Children’s Vasa line up at the start, they all wear number bibs just like in the adult races. There is one big difference though – everyone carries the number 1. Because in this case, there are only wiananers.
