VÄGEN TILL KINA LIGGER ÖPPEN – THE ROAD TO CHINA IS OPENED

Implementation

Vätternrundan Sweden, represented by Eva-Lena Frick and Mikael Thorén opened up the pressconferece by telling about releationship with Nordic Ways and both about the history of their participation to develop bike sport in China. They continued telling that Vätternrundan now goes on export to China and that the first Vätternrundan China will be on August, 25 2007.

Then Bernt Johansson continued by telling about the co-operation from the Nordic Way point of wiew, first by telling about years of contacts with Vätternrundan and then more detailed about the futured co-operation with authorities and organizations in Changbai Mountains area. Bernt also invited Torbjörn Pettersson to tell about sport travelling in China and what kind of travel packages Nordic Ways offer to their agents (travel agencies all over the world) to bring people to the event.

After press conference all participants were invited to lunch and a guided tour, with historical and cultural programme, by bus on the new track of Halv Vättern. The day ended up by a historical dinner and also discussions about bike sport in general and developing in China in particular.
