Following up with the next stage on the morning of July 7^th, Martin Breuvart and 吕桃涛 was wearing the yellow shirt, signifying their position at first place, and Martin Breuvart had no intention of giving it away.

On the second day of the race, it wasn’t the heat that would prove to be the toughest challenge. Even though it was still hot, it would be the wind the participants would be struggling against on this stage. Long flat stretches, spanning kilometers long where to be overcome by the bikers, and with a strong wind against them it would not be as easily overcome as some first assumed.

Again it was Martin Breuvart who first crossed the finish line at 1:37:33, with Darren Benson only seconds behind at 1:37:36. They both repeated their achievement from the previous day and by doing so they secured their position at the overall top, and Martin his yellow shirt. The third place  was won by 王荣双,  finishing at 1:50:20。

In the women’s competition on the other hand, there were some changes at the top.

刘婷 made a jump from third to first place, winning the second stage with the time 1:58:35, beating  蓝彩婵, who with the time 2:01:55, yet again won second place. The winner from stage one, 吕桃涛, was not able to repeat the first place from the day before, but still won third place, with the time 2:06:34, just loosing the yellow lead shirt to  刘婷 with approx a minute.
