Midsummer is getting closer, and with that the people in Changchun is preparing for the big running festival Lidingoloppet China on June 21st. The interest for this event is huge in Changchun, there were 40.000 people registered. However, due to environmental and political reasons, given what has been going on in China the last months, and the Olympics that are coming up, the government decided to limit the event to 20.000 people for this very first year of the event. Nevertheless, both Nordic Ways and the Changchun Government are very confident to make this event the biggest running event in the world as soon as next summer.

The people and the government in Changchun have good experience from huge events like this, since they‘ve been hosting another Nordic Ways ski-event Vasaloppet China for six years already.

It is now only nine days to go…and Nordic Ways as well as the 7 million people in Changchun are all very excited..
