Today was probably the first time the people in Changchun celebrated Midsummer, and it was also the first time they ran Lidingoloppet China. As many as 20.000 participants were running around in the forests of Changchun including the City Major Cui Jie.

It has been a beautiful day with blue sky, a great race, and good food. It will be a day to be remembered for sure. Two people that definitely will remember today’s race are Wang Zemin that won the men’s full distance race and Xu Junliang who won the women’s full distance race. Except from all the sponsor prizes and the prize money, both of them got invited to attend the original Lidingoloppet in Sweden this coming autumn. The Lidingoloppet organization in Sweden had a delegation in Changchun that took part in the race, and could personally hand over the prize.
