Success for Nordic Ways at Fjallraven Classic

Cherry Chen, Jaroslaw Kacmarcik and Kenneth Hermansson from Nordic Ways took part in Fjallraven (Mountain Fox) Classic in the north of Sweden on the 9th of August.

Fjallraven Classic is one of the world’s biggest hiking events with over 2000 participants from all over the world. The competition,
which takes place in the wilderness without any roads, consists of a 110km walk from Nikkaluokta to Abisko. Participants carry their own equipment such as tent, food and sleeping bag. The one who finishes the walk in shortest time wins.

Doing the walk with just three times sleeping over night and walking a distance of about 40 kilometers per day, the Nordic Ways team finished in 73 hours. This gave them a silver medal. After crossing the finish line, the participants from Nordic Ways concluded together with Jonas Hellentin, the event director, that it is quite possible to arrange an equally amazing competition in China, however under slightly different conditions.

We therefore wish to be able to welcome you to Fjallraven China some time during the spring of 2009 in the wonderful surroundings of Yunnan province!
