Since 1982, Lidingoloppet in Sweden has the Guinness World record of being the biggest terrain running event, a record which is not yet broken. Lidingoloppet China however may have a chance to beat that record, only in its second year…

About 20.000 persons took part in the first ever Lidingoloppet China in 2008, but many more were interested.Due to restrains before the Olympics, not everyone could participate that year. But now it is 2009….

Host City for Lidingoloppet China is Changchun which is located in the northern province of Jilin. The main race goes 30 km around Jingyue Lake in Jingyuetan National Forest Park just outside the City. Shorter distances are 15km, 7.5km, 2.5km and Children’s race

Lidingoloppet China is held in June 21^st, since this is the day of the Swedish Midsummer Festival. So there will be traditional singing, dancing and festivities to celebrate this special day
