Bikers got a tough last day in Genghis Khan MTB adventure. They had to fight in tough uphill parts against strong head wind and rain storm.the weather went from cloudy to windy rain storm during the second hour in to the 85 km race and some participants got showered several times. The wind was the toughest to fight against though, and it can be very strong on the grasslands.

Wang Lei, a half professional biker from southern China was the strongest in the men’s race this day. He also became the overall winner by finishing 4th (Stage 1), 1st (Stage 2) and 1st (Stage 3). He was rewarded with a gold medal and 10000 RMB in prize money. Feng Kuanjie finished second with Eric Koh on a strong 3^rd place. The winner of the men’s 50km stage, Kasper Overgaard Nielsen, finished 4^th on the last day which also gave him a 4^th position in the overall placement.

Lv Taotao once again made a great performance finishing 1^st before Cheng Shasha and Esther Hautle. This made her to the overall winner in the women’s category where she could claim a prize check of 4000 Yuan.

After the race there was open bar with Nordic Ways Cherry hosting the party and Eric as DJ. Although the live broadcast from Tour de France was on for later in the night, many people went to bed by 12 in order to catch the early 6:30 bus back to Beijing.

Many positive comments has been made about this years event and we hope that we will see a lot of people coming back next year for this event which really has potential to develop even further as an international competition..
