As you might have noticed, another category has been added to the horizontal link bar on Nordic Ways website. Under it lays information about a new and exciting four discipline contest introduced to China in 2009 by Nordic ways.

On August 29th 2009, two new competitions will be held for the first time ever which are included in the Chinese Challenge 4 discipline concept. The new bike race Vasa Bike Festival and the open water swimming contest Vasa Swim Festival. Vasa Bike festival will have many different distances for both young and old, the toughest distance in Vasa Swim Festival will be the 3000m swim in Jingyue Lake (also 1000m, 500m and 200m)

These two new contests are combined with the already existing brand events Lidingoloppet China (cross country running) and Vasaloppet China (Cross country or “Nordic” skiing).

Participants who complete the four mentioned competitions above in one year’s time will then get a specially designed diploma and honorary medal. This means that if you didn’t run Lidingoloppet China this year, you can start from taking part in the Bike and Swim festival, then do the Vasaloppet China on January 2nd 2010 and finish with Lidingoloppet China on June 19th 2010.
