The preparations for Chinas only cross country ski festival are fully underway in Changchun. The ski tracks are being groomed in Jingyuetan Park and work on this year’s main Vasa snow sculpture has begun. The equipment storage at the arena is fully loaded with skis, poles and shoes for the students and amateurs taking part.

Today, Christmas Eve 24^th of December is when Changchun Ice, Snow & Tourism Festival begins, starting with the 5^th Jilin Province University Students Cross Country Ski Competition. After a month of training with professional help, the students should now be ready to go.

Starting from Dec 30, Changchun will also welcome many foreigners to the wintery City and the white tracks of Jingyuetan Park. Participants will come from USA, Japan, Sweden … and even South Africa and Mauritius!
