The “47th Ridderrennet Norway 2010” in Beitostolen, Norway has just finished during the past weeks, with the Chinese participants for the first time. Jiaqi Yang and Jian Hui Liu, from Changchun, have took part in the cross country ski discipline and made the beautiful ending. Both of them are the top winners from “Ridderrennet China, Changchun”, through the cooperation with Nordic Ways, Changchun Municipal Government, Ridderrennets Venner, Jilin Province Handicapped Federation and the Norwegian Embassy in Beijing. 

Liu and Yang expressed their thanks by saying that they are extremely grateful for the support from the organiser --Nordic Ways and the Norwegian Embassy in Beijing, who has covered the whole travel and accommodation fee. They appreciated this offer of participating in the 10km and 20km and enjoying the whole various social activities together with other participants from all over the world.

This event, held on Sunday April 18th, has been the very conclusion of the race week. Within the 365 registered participants, there are 351 in total, who have took part in 54 categories. At the beginning, the weather was a little overcast, which was good for competitors seemingly. However, with the sun-coming out, the temperature began to increase, which really brought trouble more or less. Whereas, the whole competition drew to a beautiful close, because of the track operators’ good job.  

Due to the Iceland Volcanic Eruption, most participants got resorted by the Europe Flight Ban. A huge work was being kept doing to arrange return trips for both foreign and Norwegian participants.
