Today is the last day of Genghis Khan MTB Adventure, July 4th. The 3-day MTB adventure journey finally draws to an ending in a splendid and complete way. A splendid close of 26km and 82km is marked for this event by today.
Different from the two days ago, the race today gets started at 9:00 am. After finishing the breakfast in the early morning, all the cyclists take the shuttle bus heading for the start line. Same as yesterday, the start line is set at the culture square as well, so is the finish line. Hundred athletes just get ready at the start line right at 9:00, waiting for the referee’s signal for shooting. Same track as last two days, which we believe they all have already been quite familiar with.
Looking back forward to the last two days, many athletes’ marvelous performance has really captured our attention. Take Wanglei, Fengkuanjie for examples, both of them are from Holy Brother, which has kept this friendly cooperation ship with Nordic Ways for a long time. It is a highly advanced bicycles selling company not only owing the international brands like LOOK, MAVIC, PERAL IZUME, but also the profession athletes like Wang and Feng who have taken the first and second places respectively for the 82km race today and finally got ranked the same of the whole stage for these three days.
Bjorn Lind, the star skier from Sweden has this long sport trip in China which covered the Summer Ski Sprint, the Lidingoloppet China, and the Genghis Khan this time. He has got the ankle problem so that he lost the chance for the Lidingoloppet, which we were really sorry about. He performs pretty well these days. For the men 82km today, he made it by 06:19:02, just about 3 minutes left behind Fengkuanjie ranked in 3rd place. Congratulations!
Last but not least, the Genghis Khan Marathon for tomorrow will also be a lot of fun. Please keep an eye on it
