Vasaloppet China Highlights Swedish National Day!
The Swedish national day celebration has been held successfully in Swedish Embassy in Beijing on June 7th. There are over 1,000 people joined this big party and had a really good time. The celebration starts with Ambassador’s welcome address, followed with the dancing party and Vasaloppet China Children Race afterwards.
As the biggest cross country running festival in China, this is the first time for 9 year- old Vasaloppet China happening on the lawn. Because of the heavy rain in the late afternoon, the children skiing race had to be changed in to running. Nevertheless, children still enjoyed it very much. The track is only of 75 meters with blueberry soup service on the half way. Just like the Mini Vasaloppet China. Every kid was awarded one medal which means “Everyone Is the Champion!”

Although the all 100 skis, poles and boots delivered from Changchun have not been used, it’s still quite a good warm up for the upcoming Vasaloppet China 2012 – the 10th anniversary in Changchun, Jilin Province, Jan.2nd 2012. Come and join us!
